Review of Pink Visual’s iTouchHer Web Apps

Alison's G1 Pink Visual has been trying to find a way to capitalize on the popularity iPhones for a while now. First it was 3-D porn, then they made a movie entirely on an iPhone. Now they’ve created a “web app” (aka, a website formatted to look like an app) called iTouchHer.

I do not have an iPhone. Rather, I own the G1 (Google phone) pictured to the left. But because this site is available on the web, anyone with a touch-sensitive smart phone or a computer can play these games.

There are eight games on ITouchHer.com and I played them on the phone to get a feel for the games as close to the way they’re meant to be experienced as possible.

Intro
Before you start playing games on iTouchHer (but after you’ve already chosen which game you want to play), you’re shown an instruction screen followed by a confusing screen that tells you that you need to tap on different parts of a picture of a woman (her erogenous zones) to start. It doesn’t matter one bit which you choose and you’re never shown the woman again.

Is the World Ready for 3-D Porn?

pink-visual-3-dApparently, Pink Visual, the folks who brought you classics like Couples Seduce Teens and Anal Devastation, has partnered with a company that makes special shells for iPhones to start making the world’s first 3-D iPhone porn.

The nice part: the plastic iPhone cover replaces the need for those stupid 3-D glasses. I saw a demo video of how the shell works, but obviously, you can’t tell whether something looks 3-D on a 2-D video.

This begs the question: do people really want 3-D porn or is it just another gimmick? I still think HD porn is a gimmick (yay, ass pimples in 1080p!), and it really hasn’t broken any sales records for the people making it. 3-D movies are kind of a fun novelty, but I’ll admit that by the end of Coraline, I had a headache and no interest in ever seeing another 3-D movie.

I’m sure I’ll try this out when it’s released (I totally admit that I’m intrigued by the possibilities), but I wonder if this will be the kind of product that will go against the conventional wisdom that consumers don’t want to pay for extra accessories just to watch porn.
