i’m in UR castle, managing UR projectz

Kink.com logoJust a quick note to tell you that on Monday, I’ll be heading down to the Armory to start work as a Project Manager for Kink.com.

This is obviously an exciting opportunity and I’m very much looking forward to it, but it’s bittersweet. As with most opportunities, you have to leave some things behind in order to take the next step. In this case, it meant leaving the VideoBox blog to focus on Kink full time.

This blog has always been a hobby rather than a business and I’ll continue to post on an irregular basis about my experiences in the adult industry and my personal musings on porn in general. The fetish/BDSM side of the business is very new to me, so I’m sure I’ll have some adventures to share very soon.

    BTW if you can say, what does a project manager do at a porn site? Similar to what they’d do at a software company?

    Thanks for coming over. A PM for a porn site is pretty much the same as for any web company. Especially for sites like VB and Kink who are trying to innovate and create a unique user experience.

    HotScooter – Thank you very much. Not sure how many interviews I’ll be doing in the future, but I still have a bunch that I haven’t been able to edit and post. One of these days…

    I definitely plan on posting here more often, so keep an eye out. I’ve been following the Stagliano trial compulsively this week and plan on writing a bit about that soon.

    I didn’t post anything on VB because I knew it was going to be inundated with posts. I suppose you should pat yourself on the back for me to have to come here to say “see ya around”. Though I didn’t get to check out most of your posts (due in part to being a “lurker” at first), the ones that I did were very insightful, witty, and just a pleasure to read. I have this blog in my favorites, so I’ll be checking in with you.

    Good luck with Kink! It’s one of the few sites other then VB that I’ve been a member of and actually had a good experience. I’m sure you’re surrounded by good people and will have a great time.
