    That’s a good point. I hadn’t heard anything about her directing or changing her role in the industry, so it makes sense that she’d leave after running the course as a performer. She’ll be missed.

    It was Gianna’s body and straight hot energy. I can’t think of anyone is all the years i’ve been watching porn that a performer had totally captivated me. She wasn’t being fucked, she was doing the fucking. Gianna’s performances rarely have a feel of “oh well i’m just here to get paid.” They always felt like “i can’t believe they’re paying me for doin what i love!” She had definitely found her caling.

    Sports stars, celebrities, most film and television actors and most pop musicians have almost no intellectual, physical or practical contribution to society. But nonetheless they contribute, affect, give a great deal to the media, the culture, the society that surrounds us.

    One might argue that their contribution is negative, just as one might argue over the contribution of arms-dealers and manufacturers, dictators, polititians of this ilk or that, bankers, talk show hosts, or the guy who invented energy efficient lightbulbs with mercury in them. But a contribution to society it remains.

    Gianna was an all-time great. She had enthusiasm and she never faked it. It was nice to watch someone enjoying what she was doing. She had no hang ups. Olivia O’Lovely retired and has gone onto another profession.
