5 Boob Job Disasters and How Photographers Try to Hide Them

Porn is littered with sub-par boob jobs, many of them on otherwise beautiful girls. What’s a photographer to do? Get creative. Below are five boob job defects that pop up on a regular basis and how they can be downplayed so you might not even notice them.

1. Dimpling/Scarring
The entry wounds you see on the first picture of Audrey Bitoni’s breasts lead to the dimples she’s now stuck with in the second one.

The fix: This gallery employs a number of the tricks that photographers use to conceal Audrey’s scarring and dimples: leaving clothing on under the breast, covering the breasts with the hands, using the hair to cover the breasts, and shooting her from the back.

2. Giant gap between the breasts
Phoenix Marie, Piper Fontaine and Angelina Valentine are three examples of women who’ve ended up with boobs farther apart than looks natural. Often, this is because the pocket for the implant wasn’t made correctly during surgery.

The fix: This gallery is a great example of how necklaces are used to fool the eye into ignoring the gap between Phoenix Marie’s breasts. The necklace is large and it makes the gap appear less noticeable.

3. Visible veins
Vanessa Lee and one of my faves, Jesse Jane have been afflicted with this problem.

The fix: There’s not much you can do with this other than hide them. You won’t see many pre-2007 pictures of Jesse where her boobs aren’t obscured in some way. But she got them fixed and while she said it was extra painful because of all the work they had to do, it seems to have paid off.

4. Softball ball in a sock syndrome
Diamond Kitty and Carmella Bing both have very large breasts that hang. Naturals do this too when they’re big and photographers use the same techniques on these girls as on naturally busy stars like Gianna Michaels and Sara Stone.

The fix: The best thing to do with large, pendulous breasts is keep them contained. In this gallery, Carmella never takes her bra all the way off, which helps support her girls. In this one, she uses what I call the “arm shelf” where she holds them up with her forearm.

5. Overall shape deformities
Sometimes breast implants just look wrong. Charisma Capelli and Lisa Lipps have the unfortunate distinction of having straight-up bad boob jobs.

There’s not really much you can do here but hide them. Or just accept that that’s how they look and not sweat it.

In Praise of Manuel Ferrara

I know that porn isn’t about the guys, but the fact is that horrible male talent can ruin a scene with even the hottest girl. That’s why I love Manuel Ferrara. (That and how incredibly gracious he was when I was drunkenly nattering on at him after the AVN awards)

I hear all the time about guys who make a scene unwatchable (cough, Lee Stone, cough) and it’s refreshing that there a few woodsmen out there who add something to their scenes instead of serving as an annoying distraction.

The three main reasons Manuel is one of the all-time greatest male performers:

1. He gets the best performances out of the girls
A boring partner can make a scene with the most enthusiastic girl into a disappointment. Manuel gets the girls so hot and crazy that they can’t help but have a great scene. He has without a doubt caused more orgasms on camera than any male talent I’ve ever seen (although big ups go out to Steve Holmes on that front as well). Every star I’ve ever talked to, when asked who her favorite guys to work with are, says Manuel Ferrara without hesitation. He turns them on and they turn you on. Win-win situation in my opinion.

2. He’s a gentleman to his co-stars
There are quite a few guys out there who get into porn for the wrong reason. They seem have something to prove. They don’t respect women and they can seriously fuck up a scene by getting way to aggressive and degrading. Manuel clearly loves women. He can get rough, but he always treats them with respect and takes them to the edge without going too far. That’s sexy.

3. He directs hot scenes
Directors are at least as, if not more important than the male talent. They are the ones who ultimately decide whether to use gauzy filters or move the camera every 15 seconds or focus on a guy’s taint for extended periods of time. A great director loves women, loves sex and wants to turn people on. I think Manuel has been such a successful director because he really does have all of those qualities.

Good male talent is hard to find and I am very thankful for the handful of guys who aren’t boring stuntcocks or assholes. Manuel Ferrara is definitely in the upper echelon of male porn talent and he deserves recognition (in addition to his AVN awards, I guess).
